Still here

Still Here is an upcoming 2D first-person adventure game being developed by Studio Hana, based in Toronto. It’s set in a distant future when technology has propelled societies to the stars.

You play as Relay, a reclusive and painfully average software engineer who gets caught up in tensions of looming conflict between rival superpower factions. You’ve been tasked to do whatever it takes to develop an advanced AI program that solves incompatibilities with promising new weapons technology to unify your faction’s systems and end the threat of war that only escalates with each passing day.

This is a game driven heavily by narrative. Branching dialogue and choices intertwine with your interactions with the world and its characters through the lens of a character who can see what no one else can. Ultimately, your choices will impact how characters perceive you, how the universe opens up to you, and how the story ends.

Still Here is very early in production, so any rough estimates for a release date are subject to change. However, we’d like to push a playable demo scene out for Furnal Equinox in Toronto, whenever conventions can open up again.

We’ll be ceasing our years-long hiatus this year to jump right into the crucible and ramp up development! Updates may be made available in blog posts as we look to bring the machine back up to speed.
